Position Overview

The Swimming Coach plays a key role in implementing high-quality training programs for swimmers within the VORTEX AQUATICS. Working closely with the Head Coach, this position focuses on improving swimmer performance through structured sessions, technical corrections, and individualized support. The Swimming Coach ensures each athlete develops progressively and safely toward achieving competition goals while upholding the Vortex Aquatics culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, progressive training sessions aligned with the Head Coach's program and seasonal plans
• Provide technical corrections and stroke analysis to improve swimmer efficiency and performance
• Develop individualized training adjustments based on each athlete's strengths, weaknesses, and goals
• Monitor and track swimmer progress through regular assessments and performance data
• Ensure all training activities are conducted safely, following Vortex Aquatics safety protocols
• Prepare athletes for competitions through targeted training, race strategy development, and mental preparation
• Maintain clear communication with swimmers, parents, and the Head Coach regarding progress and expectations
• Attend competitions and provide on-deck coaching support to athletes during events
• Contribute to a positive, motivating, and professional team culture
• Participate in staff meetings, training workshops, and continuous professional development

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certified swimming coach qualification (Level 2 or equivalent recognized certification)
• Minimum 2 years of experience coaching competitive swimmers at club or higher level
• Strong technical knowledge of all competitive strokes, starts, turns, and race strategies
• Valid lifeguard certification and first aid/CPR credentials
• Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Passion for competitive swimming and athlete development
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus
